For this mani, I wanted a different look completely; so I pulled out my Julep Matte Suede polishes that I bought in my November box.  I chose two colors for this mani, a deep gunmetal-purple and gold.  I was also inspired to do the matte finish, because a friend of mine was asking about it and didn't think she would like it, I was skeptical at first too, but I wanted to show her just how beautiful it is.  For this mani, my accent nails are my pinky and ring finger on both hands, but I flip flopped the colors.

Here's what I used:

Base coat: Seche Retain
Base color 1:  Amber by Julep (matte suede gold)
Base color 2: Nora by Julep (matte suede gunmetal-purple)
Top coat 1: Seche Vite - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
Stamp colors: White & Vivid Pink both by Konad
Top coat 2: Julep Matte Top coat cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 5 minutes

I was rushing to do my nails and record the videos for YouTube and unfortunately forgot to take still pics of my nails with just the base colors.  My YouTube videos, the polish review and NOTD vids for this mani are already posted.

Like I mentioned earlier, I was skeptical about the matte's just natural to want that high gloss shine.  I had heard a lot about the matte finish and that it was a major trend but, I just wasn't ready to hop on the band wagon.   But when I saw swatches of the Julep Matte Suede collection on their Facebook and Instagram pages...I just couldn't resist.

I really like the matte suede polishes by Julep for several reasons; they dry very quickly, you can get away with just one coat, it's not patchy or streaky.  And it just looks great!!  The only issues that I found are, because it dries so quickly you have to be careful not to polish in the same spot, unless you're using a very light hand.  It will completely take off the polish thats already there.  The other issue is with the actual pigmentation, there are 5 colors in the matte suede collection, gold, oxblood red, gunmetal grey, purple and green.  For some strange reason, the purple, green and grey all seem to look like the same color once you apply them.  But, I still love them and highly recommend them.
