Today's mani is probably the most simple design I have done since I began stamping.  It is simply, a decorative line, sort of a maze design that I have been wanting to try.  Both colors that I used are recent purchases; Aurora by Zoya and Simone from my March Julep box.

Here's what I used:

Base coat: Seche Retain
Base color 1: Aurora by Zoya (deep purple)
Base color 2: Simone by Julep (pastel purple)
Top coat 1: Seche Vite - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
Stamp colors: Eternal Beauty by Color Club & Sky Pearl by Konad
Top coat 2: Seche Ultra-V cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 5 minutes

Simone by Julep is a really pretty pastel purple with a very, very subtle purplish-blue shimmer.  And when I say subtle, I really mean subtle, like pretty much not visible at all.  I was actually disappointed about this, but what can you do.  Another MAJOR disappointment was the brush!!  The bristles did not spread which made the application difficult.  For me, the ability of the brush to spread is important because it dramatically helps with getting a really great and even line at the cuticle.  As well as with overall polish application.  Simone is patchy and streaky when a thin coat is applied, I believe this is due to the brush.  When I applied a much thicker first coat it was not patchy and streaky, but applying a thick coat means it's going to take longer to dry completely.  While I love the color, I am not loving the formula and would not recommend it.  You can get this same shade from every other polish brand, so for me its not worth the price.

On a much brighter note, I really love Aurora; nothing but positive things to say.  It's a beautiful berry-toned purple shade with holographic glitter.  The application is very smooth, with even glitter distribution.  This is a 2 coat coat polish, but I am still pleased with it.  If you don't want to pay the $8 price, Naughty or Nice by Orly is a cheaper alternative.

For the stamping I used two colors and because I really loved the multicolor design I did a while ago, I wanted to do it again since the design is so simple.  Over Simone I stamped both colors,  Eternal Beauty by Color Club & Sky Pearl by Konad.  Over Aurora, I just stamped Sky Pearl by Konad.
