Today's mani is very different than any design I have ever done.  This is actually a recreation of a fellow YouTuber's (PackAPunchPolish) video, but slightly different.  I used a different base coat and design because I do not have that particular polish nor image plate that she used.  This mani, is much more subtle than probably any design that I have done, but also a very different look.  But I do like it a lot, and need to branch out more with my designs.

I stayed true to the basic concept of the original design, by using 1 base color, a swirly design and white stamping polish.  I don't have a white jelly polish so I decided to use Golden Meringue by China Glaze; which is a nude polish with very pretty golden shimmer.  Since this polish has the golden shimmer, I decided not to use a glitter polish...I don't think it would have added anything to the design since the base color has golden shimmer.

To recreate this design I did the following:

  1. applied a base coat
  2. applied 3 coats of Golden Meringue
  3. applied a top coat
  4. stamped the design in white
  5. applied 2 coats of Golden Meringue (instead of 1 coat of glitter & 1 coat of base color)
  6. finally applied my top coat
Here's what I used:

  • Base coat: Seche Recondition
  • Base color: Golden Meringue by China Glaze
  • Top coat 1: IBD UV Top Coat - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
  • Stamp colors: White by Konad
  • Top coat 2: IBD UV Top Coat cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 5 minutes
  • IP: Dashica Beauty Shop - Big SdP A & Bundle Monster 311

Golden Meringue is a gorgeous pinky-nude polish with a really nice golden shimmer.  The application of this polish is flawless and I practically had no clean up to do.  It has the perfect consistency, easy to manipulate and move, but you can see the brush strokes on the first coat.  This really isn't an issue since, you will have to apply 2-3 coats for the polish to be visible.  Once you apply the 2nd coat, the brush strokes are no longer visible.  I would definitely recommend this polish if you are into the nude look...the gold shimmer just adds an extra special touch and interest to the look.
