I am totally loving the two colors I used for this NOTD design!!!  This mani is blue (my all time favorite color) and purple, which I have been liking more lately.  The blue is Sky High by Color Club, which was sent to me, along with some other fabulous goodies which you will see in upcoming posts, by a fellow YouTuber, the fabulous +Mitchareena F..  And the purple is Are You Jelly? from China Glaze's new Sunsational collection.

Here's what I used:

  • Base coat:  +Julep Maven Oxygen Nail Treatment
  • Base color: Sky High by Color Club
  • Accent Nail: Are You Jelly by China Glaze Sunsational Jellies Collection
  • Top coat 1: Seche Vite Top Coat - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
  • Stamp colors: Over the Moon & Eternal Beauty by Color Club Halo Hues 2013 Collection
  • Top coat 2: IBD UV Top Coat cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 3 minutes
  • IP: Dashica Beauty Shop - Big SdP Y
Oxygen Nail Treatment, 2 coats

Sky High is a gorgeous metallic, royal blue with a hint of a purple duo chrome effect.  This polish is opaque in 2 coats, and applies like butter.  There are no application issues whatsoever and it has a nice size brush that attributes to the flawless application.  The duo chrome effect is only visible at certain angles, but still gorgeous.  If you don't have this color you should definitely pick this one up...I highly recommend it.  It can also be used for stamping, but I would suggest stamping it over lighter colors because it is not opaque enough to stamp over dark colors.  Highly recommend.

Are You Jelly? is also gorgeous, but this formula is a jelly that is completely opaque in 2 coats!!!  A lot of jelly polishes require 3 or more coats and can still be sheer...but not this one.  Love it!!  The first coat is a bit streaky/patchy but completely corrected with the second coat.  I really believe that if it had a wider brush this would not be an issue.  I absolutely love +china glaze glaze nail polish, but I just wish they would make their brushes bigger.  This purple is really vibrant and I highly recommend it.  This would not work for stamping because it will not be opaque enough...the same would apply to other jelly polishes.

I purchased the entire China Glaze Sunsational Cremes & Jellies from NailSupplies.US for $17.94 for each set of 6 polishes, which is $2.99/bottle.
