Today's mani is very simple since my last mani had a lot going on.  I only used 2 base colors, deep purple and copper, with the design stamped in silver.  The silver adds the perfect contrast to both colors.  I did my normal alternating mani, every other nail a different color with each hand having more of one color.  I really love the simplicity and color contrast of this mani.

Here's what I used:

  • Base coat: +OPI Inc Nail Envy - original
  • Base color 1: I'm a Movie Star by NanaCoco
  • Base color 2: Brisbane Bronze by OPI
  • Top coat 1: Seche Vite Top Coat - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
  • Stamp colors: Silver Sweep by +Sally Hansen InstaDri
  • Top coat 2: IBD UV Top Coat cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 3 minutes
  • IP: Dashica Beauty Shop - Big SdP X
I'm a Movie Star by NanaCoco is a gorgeous deep purple that's slightly metallic.  The application is flawless, just like every other NanaCoco polish I have used.  It's completely opaque in 1 coat and has a great sized brush that fans out.  If you have never tried NanaCoco, you need to check them out.  I think NanaCoco is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE brand!!

Brisbane Bronze by OPI is very beautiful copper/bronze color with a hint of golden shimmer.  It's a metallic polish, but unfortunately not as opaque as the other metallics by OPI that I've used.  The first coat was slightly sheer and patchy so 2 coats is a must.  But I must say the 2nd coat completely fixed the patchiness of the 1st and I'm extremely pleased with the finished look of this color.  I would definitely recommend this color.

For the stamping of the design I used Silver Sweep...if you are into stamping this is a MUST have.  I have never had any problems stamping with this polish, and it doesn't smear when you apply the top coat.  And it is very vibrant and visible over any color.  Definitely recommend.
