I was very pleased with how this mani turned out!!  This venturing out and trying new nail art elements has been very great, fun and exciting.  While there wasn't very much to this mani, it turned out beautifully.

I have never used loose glitter or striping tape before this mani, and I must say it was difficult to work with.  The glitter I used was from the Ursula Disney Villains Kit by Kiss; there are 4 different nail art kits only available at Walgreen's.  The glitter is a gorgeous, blue-green iridescent rectangular- parallelogram glitter (if that makes any sense).  The material is not like regular glitter, but more like a flexible plastic.  I just dumped the glitter onto my wet nails and boy was that a mistake...it was very hard to move around and smooth out.  And the glitter just seemed to absorb the top coat and once it dried, the edges of the glitter was like shards of glass!!!  And I mean that literally...I have the scratches to prove it.  I would recommend placing the glitter individually.

Here's what I used:
  • Base coat: Rejuvicote by Duri
  • Base color: Mermaid Lake by NanaCoco
  • Accent color: Kiwi Bikini by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear
  • Accent Nail Art: Silver Striping tape & iridescent glitter
  • Top coat 1: Miracoate by Duri Fast drying Top Coat - I apply this before stamping, if I mess up I can remove the design without removing the base color
  • Stamp colors: Silver Sweep by Sally Hansen InstaDri
  • Top coat 2: IBD UV Top Coat cured under a 54 watt UV lamp for 5 minutes
  • IP: Dashica Beauty Shop Big SdP Z
